Brussels is the capital region of the Western European country of Belgium and the largest city comprising of 19 municipalities. While Belgium is known for its three distinct regions with the specific population of Dutch, French and German speaking people, Brussels acts as the bilingual Capital. Other than the blend of culture and the beautiful medieval architectural style, the city is known for Beer and Chocolates. The most populous city in the country, it has the richest GDP. Before the Second World War Brussels was merely a small beautiful rustic town by the Senne. It became one of the essential places for international politics after the war. The city acts as the existing capital of the European Union. Brussels is also famous for the museums, with almost 90 present around the city and displaying an integral part of the European Culture. The beautiful architecture is a part of the reconstruction by demolishing the old town. Thus only a small portion belongs to the medieval culture. Few attractions of the city include the historic Grand Place, Atomium, Manneken Pis and cultural centers like Museums of Art and History and La Monnaie.
