The ancient city of Krakow is among the oldest cities in Poland that dates back to the 7th century. It is the 2nd largest city and was the capital until 1596. The city has always been the center for academic, economic and cultural aspects of the country. Krakow is cited as one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. The city grew to from the ruins and settlements of the Stone age era to being the second most important place in Poland. Krakow has been a victim of the Jewish massacres and concentration camps during the Nazi Invasion in the Second World War. Before that, the city was a flourishing trading center in the European market and saw its peak in central Europe in the year 965. The Wawel Castle is a view to watch, and the Old Town has impressive churches and museums which gives the idea of the age old culture of the city. Do visit the huge Rynek Glowny, the largest marketing complex in Europe. The Old Town also offers ample options of Restaurants, Bars, and clubs so it, won't be much difficult to grab a drink at the end of the day. The Nightlife of this city is also quite amazing.
