It was extremely difficult to find the departure times the map downloaded on the Web is very blury when u open it up.
According to the information on the net the bus to Monreale was suppose to leave at 9.30 at stop 1 and 9.45 at stop 5. My friend was at stop 1 and got told the bus was one hour delayed and he finally arrived after 11.30 at Monreale. I did have to take a public bus even I paid a full return ticket with you.
On the way back the bus was late again and I do understand the Palermo traffic is not easy, but the public bus was nearly on time.
So I stopped the red bus on the way back and my batterie was empty on my phone..but I took a picture with my camera ...first she did not want to let me in the bus...but finally she accepted my photo.
That's why 3 stars otherwise it would have been 1 for paying for nothing

Great way to see the city

The tours were great but we waited at a stop for a bus that was scheduled and it didn't come, that was disappointing. Hop on Hop off is a great way to see a lot in a little time!

Great overview of the city with interesting, ample commentary

Member of staff was welcoming and handed us a set of earphones. Commentry was interesting cos without it, it would have just been a load of buildings.

Great introduction to the city on the red line. We took the first bus from the first stop at 10 am and weren't slowed by heavy traffic, though this might be more of a problem later in the day. Commentary was clear. We didn't try the blue line, but based on this experience we'd recommend.
