Explore Spain’s ancient past at the Archaeological Museum of Madrid with a self‑guided audio tour featuring 90 expert‑crafted stories, 31 stops, and a curated journey through the civilizations that shaped the Iberian Peninsula. From prehistoric artifacts to Roman sculptures and medieval treasures, the tour blends award‑winning storytelling with offline maps and flexible pacing, allowing you to discover the museum’s vast collection entirely at your own rhythm.

Your visit begins at the museum entrance, where the audio tour introduces the origins of the institution—founded in 1867 under Queen Isabella II to unite Spain’s scattered archaeological treasures under one roof. As you move through the neoclassical Palace of Libraries and Museums, you’ll explore galleries filled with prehistoric tools, Iberian sculptures, Roman mosaics, and Visigothic artifacts. Each stop reveals the cultural layers that shaped Spain’s identity across millennia.

The tour continues deeper into the museum’s most iconic exhibits, including masterpieces such as the Lady of Elche, the Beast of Balazote, and the Priest of Cádiz. You’ll uncover the stories behind these artifacts, learn about ancient burial practices, artistic techniques, and the evolution of Iberian societies. With offline access and self‑paced navigation, you can pause, revisit, and explore each gallery as you wish, making the experience both enriching and flexible.
