From there, the walking route continues through historic neighbourhood streets toward Santa Caterina Market, one of the city’s most distinctive markets. Famous for its colourful, wave-shaped roof, this lively space reflects daily neighbourhood life. During the visit, the guide explains how local trade evolved over time and highlights the essential role markets play in Catalan gastronomy and community culture. After exploring the market, the first gastronomic stop takes place at a traditional vermouth bar.
