Travel in comfort by luxury coach while your professional English-speaking guide introduces you to the history and character of the places included in your Christmas Day adventure. Your first destination is Canterbury, a historic city known for its beautiful streets and famous cathedral. Canterbury shines brightest during Christmas season, when this medieval English city transforms into a winter wonderland. Visit Canterbury Cathedral and experience the special Sung Eucharist service, enjoying the calm and traditional atmosphere of Christmas inside this remarkable historic building. It is often attended by the Archbishop, for a unique Christmas spiritual experience.

Continue the celebration with a traditional Christmas buffet lunch. The Christmas Day lunch features a delicious three-course festive meal, beginning with homemade winter vegetable soup. For the main course, enjoy traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings, served with a glass of wine or soft drink, or choose a Mediterranean vegetable bake with goat’s cheese. Finish with classic Christmas pudding and brandy sauce. Special dietary requirements must be requested at least seven days before travel, as the menu is subject to change. Enjoy a hearty festive meal in a welcoming setting, along with a choice of an alcoholic or soft drink. The meal provides a chance to relax, enjoy seasonal flavours and make the most of the Christmas atmosphere.

After lunch, head towards the coast and stop to admire the striking White Cliffs. Take in the impressive scenery and capture photographs of the landscape. During the visit, you may also enjoy views of Dover Castle, a historic landmark closely connected with England’s royal and military past. Make your way back towards London through Greenwich, an area celebrated for its maritime heritage and impressive historic surroundings. Look out for the Old Royal Naval College, one of Greenwich’s most recognisable landmarks, with its grand Baroque design created by the famous architect Sir Christopher Wren. End the day by returning to London after a Christmas filled with memorable sights, festive food and historic discoveries.
