A Port city in southern France, Marseilles has always been a center for immigration from around that region. Founded by the Greeks in around 600 B.C., Experience the beautiful city with cross culture in the Hop On Hop Off bus tour.

Firstly, the important thing to note is, those who arrive at the city by cruise, can take public transportation to join the bus tour. Start by visiting the Frioul Archipelago, a group of four islands. These islands are located beautifully off the Mediterranean coast. These islands cover a complete area of 200 hectares. Next hopping off the bus reach Parc National des Calanques which is a national park present in Marseilles. The area is a beautiful mix of land and marine life. Next stop you can go to Le Panier or the Old Town. The Mediterranean district became the place of the working class when in the 17th century the middle class moved out to nearby areas. The old and crumbling facades of the district are the result of the overpopulation during the 19th century Industrial Revolution.

Visit the Sainte Marie Majeure and the Cathédrale La Major church and admire the beauty of the Roman architecture. Take the bus ride to one of the popular places in Marseilles, Notre-Dame de la Garde. The Catholic Basilica is a popular Assumption Day Pilgrimage site. Finally visit the Musee Cantini which is famous for displaying contemporary and modern art. The museum has been open since 1936.
