Perhaps the best way to admire the well-known sights of Dresden is to jump onto a hop-on hop-off bus and check out 22 stops en-route. As the capital of Germany’s 10th largest state, Saxony, Dresden is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Take optimum advantage of your tour voucher for hopping on and hopping off double-decker buses throughout the day to go around the city. You don’t have to wait at any of the designated stops too long as the buses are available every 20-30 minutes. Additionally, you can access up to 3 walking tours managed by a local guide for getting the most out of your trip.

The layout of Dresden, including the Old Town is so impeccable that you can travel around the city on foot. However, a good number of the places of interest are situated quite far away from the heart of the city. And this is exactly where a hop-on hop-off bus tour comes to your aid, allowing you to marvel at the key sights with effortless ease.

You can start the tour from Zwinger/Postplatz- the main departure point-or from any of the 22 scheduled stops. You just have to put on the headphones, tune in to the running commentary in your preferred language, settle comfortably into your seat, and enjoy the day out. If you wish, you can get off at a designated stop to walk around a landmark or attraction that catches your fancy.

Once you’re done discovering the sight to your heart’s content carry on with the excursion by hopping back on from the nearest stop. Your hop-on hop-off city sightseeing pass comes equipped with a host of additional features that help discover Dresden more comprehensively. For instance, you can utilize an evening expedition consisting of a walking excursion covering 12 stops, and a ‘Guard of the Night Watch’ outing.

You have the entire day to yourself for going around the length and breadth of the Saxon capital without any hurry. The USP of the hop-on hop-off Dresden bus tour is the extensive guide-steered expedition around the city’s tourist attractions. You’ll go past the Academy of Fine Arts, Catholic Court Church, Dresden Castle, Our Lady’s Church, Zwinger palatial complex, Semper Opera, and New Market Square.

Last but not least you’ll lap up open-air vistas of the city’s skyline with the sparkling Elbe River from the bus’s roofless upper deck.
