Inside the museum, you will discover Michelangelo’s most renowned masterpiece, the David, along with other important works such as I Prigioni, San Matteo, and the Palestrina Pietà. You will learn how the young Michelangelo carved David from a huge block of rough marble over three years, creating an imposing sculpture that became an icon of Renaissance art.
