The Gjirokastër Wood Crafting experience offers a unique chance to learn traditional carving skills from a local master. The experience begins at Cerciz Topulli Square as you head towards the Master Nurce workshop. Here, the skilled artisan Viktor Nurce introduces you to the basics of wood crafting. You can choose what to create, such as a wooden sign, necklace, key hanger, or small mirror. First, you design your idea on paper and then carefully carve it into wood with guidance from the master. During this experience, you can relax and enjoy a glass of traditional raki or homemade wine. The workshop is friendly, creative, and suitable even for beginners. At the end, you will take home a handmade wooden piece created by your own hands as a special souvenir from Gjirokaster.

Meet your local guide at Cerciz Topulli Square, where your creative experience begins before heading on a short walk to the welcoming workshop of master craftsman Viktor Nurce. Once inside the traditional woodcraft studio, you will be introduced to the fascinating world of wood carving and learn about the different types of wood used in handmade creations. Your host will explain the basic techniques and tools used by artisans, giving you insight into a craft that has been passed down through generations. After the introduction, you will choose what you would like to create during the workshop.
