Join us for a walking tour as you explore the hidden gems and famous places in Gjirokaster on a walking tour accompanied by a guide. Begin your journey at the Cerciz Topulli Square, the lively centre of the old town. From here, you will head towards the Old Bazaar, a historic area beneath the Castle Walls. You will then cross the charming Zerzebili Bridge. The journey continues to the peaceful Cfaka neighbourhood, where you will visit a tekke of the Bektashi Order. As you walk further, you will visit the famous Ali Pasha Bridge, built over 200 years ago, marking the end of our tour. This walking tour offers a relaxing yet enriching journey into the past.

We begin from the center of the old town at Cerciz Topulli Square and move towards the Old Bazaar, which is no longer a traditional market but remains a historic neighborhood beneath the castle walls. This area marks the first settlement outside the fortress and is known for its cobblestone paths and some of the oldest houses that define its charm. After crossing the Zerzebili Bridge, we enter Cfaka, another ancient neighborhood where we encounter traditional houses classified as national monuments along with a Bektashi tekke reflecting the spiritual heritage of the area.

The journey continues through scenic landscapes with hills filled with grazing sheep, blending nature and history seamlessly until we reach the Ali Pasha Bridge, a surviving part of an aqueduct built by Ali Pasha Tepelena over two centuries ago to supply water to the castle. This walk offers a moderate hiking experience over uneven terrain so comfortable footwear is recommended, while a guided exploration brings the past to life in an unforgettable back-in-time experience for visitors seeking history and culture.
