We will then cycle to Long Bien Bridge, the oldest Hanoi bridge built by the French during the colonial era. Long Bien Bridge is famous for its role in Vietnam's history. In the fall of 1954, Long Bien Bridge welcomed a victorious army back from Dien Bien Phu to liberate the capital and drive the French colonial army out of Hanoi, down Road 5 to Hai Phong port, and out of Vietnam for good. Our journey continues to the Reunification Train Track, where you will see how residents live just one meter from the railway. We will visit the nearly 200-year-old Hanoi Flag Tower, a symbol of the city, before heading to the elegant Hanoi Opera House.
