Itinerary

Athens Hop On Hop Off Blue Bus:
Discover Athens, Piraeus port and the beaches with a hop-on hop-off bus ticket at your own leisure. Enjoy convenient access to major sights including Panathenaic Stadium and the Acropolis Parthenon. 5 lines for 2 days, with Athens (Orange Line) Piraeus (Blue Line), Glyfada (Yellow Line), Vouliagmeni, among others (Green Line).
 
Temple of Poseidon and Cape of Sounio Sunset Tour:
Drive to the Athenian Riviera by driving down the south shore. Easily approach the otherwise inaccessible Sounion. The magnificent panorama that surrounds the Sounion promontory will captivate you. This location was venerated by the ancient Greeks as sacred land devoted to the gods Poseidon and Athena. Admire the Temple of Poseidon, located on the cliff's edge 70 metres above the sea. Walk the beautiful ground of the Sounion, one of the sites mentioned in Homer's Odyssey.
 
Stand on the same cliff where King Aegeus is supposed to have thrown himself. According to Greek legend, Aegeus instructed his son Theseus that if he fought the Minotaur, he should return to Athens with ships with white sails. When Aegeus saw Theseus' dark sails, he hurled himself from the Sounion in despair. Observe the sunset over this renowned vista.

Athens Line (Orange Route): Every 15 minutes from 08:30 - 18:00
Piraeus Line (Blue Route): Every 30/45 minutes from 10:55, 12:45, 14:35, 16:25
The Piraeus, Blue line will only operate during cruise ship arrivals at the port of Piraeus every 30 min from Piraeus Cruise Terminals to Athens between 8:30 - 18:00.
Beach Lines (Yellow / Glyfada Route) and Vouliagmeni Lines (Green Route): every 2 hours from 08:30 - 18:00
 
Low Season (01 November - 31 March):
Athens Line (Orange Route): Every 20 minutes from 08:45 - 17:00
Piraeus Line (Blue Route): 9:55, 12:15, 14:35
Beach Lines (Yellow / Glyfada Route) and Vouliagmeni Lines (Green Route): 9:55, 12:15, 14:35


Cape Sounion Sunset Tour:
Duration: 4 Hours

Old Parliament/ Syntagma: 14:15
Melina Merkouri Monument /Plaka Area: 14:30
Return Location: Same as pick up location.

You can board the bus at any stop and present your voucher on your smartphone (Printed/ Paper Voucher is also acceptable) to a member of staff of Sights of Athens to receive a valid ticket.
You will receive a ticket in exchange for your voucher, which you must keep until the expiry date/ tour.
Please check your ticket to know when it expires.
After exchanging your voucher for a ticket, your voucher will no longer be valid.
In loss of voucher/ticket, company is not liable for any refund.
Flexible Ticket: You can redeem the e-ticket within 1 year from purchase date.
Special Note: Seats are limited and filling very fast for Cape Sounion Sunset tour. Recommeded to book atleast 24h before travel date.
Cape Sounion Sunset Tour: The date that you choose in your booking will be for the Cape Sounion sunset tour and will be valid for one tour to Sounio and back.

The 2 days hop on hop off bus ticket has no date limitation you can choose any 2 days and gives you unlimited access to all 4 lines Athens, Piraeus, Beach lines.
***On orthodox Easter Friday and Saturday the Temple is closing earlier than the sunset time
Children (0-4 years) can travel for free accompanied by an adult (max. two children). Full adult price is applicable for travelers over 15 years of age.
Tours operate in all weather, rain or shine. Refunds due to weather will not be granted unless the service is suspended as a result of weather.

In "normal times" Athens is a busy city, especially during special events, summer holidays and at weekends. Traffic congestion and road closures - may cause delays, reduced frequency and changes to the route. We’ll do all we can to provide a smooth and frequent service!
Informaiton for Cruise Ship Passengers: You can start your journey at either of the Cruise Terminals in the Port of Piraeus, Only few steps away from the cruise ship, where you will be able to join the Blue Route (operating all year long).
