Itinerary

Soak in and feel the magical healing qualities of geothermal water. The Laugarvatn Fontana Spa is situated in the route of the Golden Circle. You will be taken via the Thingvellir National Park that is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Laugarvatn Fontana is a perfect place for relaxing the mind and body. Soak in the natural pools and refresh in the steams rooms with the hot spring releasing the steam right below. There are three steam rooms and the traditional sauna with the three distinct hot pools. This fills you up with the energy and nourishes the body and soul.

The local kitchen offers dinner buffet or you can also enjoy the freshly baked rye bread and soup. This is the appropriate place to socialize and relax as well as enjoy the panoramic view around Fontana. The same tour is also available without the buffet i.e.SRE67 Northern Lights & Hot Baths. On this tour, the passengers have the choice to buy dinner or pay after enjoying the service (dinner buffet or bread & soup). You can carry a towel and swimsuit or they are also available on rent.

After enjoying the hot bath, we will head back to Reykjavik and further go on to hunt the Northern Lights. These lights are caused by the interaction of electrically charged particles and the earth’s magnetic field. Dark and clear sky is necessary to see these lights therefore; we will go outside the city to see this phenomenal natural activity. However, this is weather dependent activity so sightings are not guaranteed. Do not forget to wear warm clothes to protect from cold.
