Dating back to 1555, the 7-acre Roman Jewish Ghetto was home to more than 4,700 Jews ordered to live in a district isolated from the Christians for nearly 300 years. In 1848 when Italy became a republic, the walls of Jewish Ghetto Rome were demolished. How to reach there?

The Ghetto is located in the historic center of the city, along the Tiber River, opposite Tiber Island. This tour begins on Via Arenula, which is easily accessible on foot from the city center or by taking the 8 Tram from Piazza Venezia, passing through Trastevere.
