During the class, participants begin by discovering the traditions of Albanian hospitality and the cultural meaning of Besa, an ancient code of honor. With the help of the instructors, everyone begins preparing traditional dishes while learning about the history and importance of each recipe. One of the main dishes prepared during the class is Tave Kosi, a famous Albanian casserole made with lamb, yogurt, eggs, butter, and flour. Known as the “independence dish,” it has an interesting story connected to Albania’s early history and is considered one of the country’s most iconic meals. Participants learn how to prepare the dish step by step, from combining ingredients to creating the rich baked texture that makes it so special.
