Even though we cannot go inside the fort right now (it is getting a makeover), we can still walk around it and enjoy the relaxing waters of Al Thowarah Hot Springs.

Nakhl is just a short two-hour drive from Muscat. Thanks to the Barka-Nakhl Dual Road project, finished in 2018, the journey is now not only easy but also full of beautiful views. Nakhl is like its own special paradise with lots of date plantations and big mountains to the north.

One of the main things people love to do in Nakhl is visit the Nakhl Fort. It is like the superstar of the village, attracting people from all over Oman.
