How It Works

For groups of 12 or more, you may send us an inquiry at booking@sightseeingo.com. Although we do not guarantee bulk deals for all our tours, there are some tours for which we can offer discounted pricing. Ordinary hop-on-hop-off bus tickets are entitled to group savings. Attractions, pass items and combo tickets aren't.

Due the nature of this type of tour and varying demand, group travellers should be aware that there is no guarantee that the group will be able to travel altogether as the available seats vary from stop to stop and depends on demand each day. The group may need to split up and/or wait for the next bus(s).

As, we cannot guarantee that the group shall be able to travel together as one group, therefore we will reduce the group size down to 4-5 smaller groups per ticket (depending upon group size).

You can board the bus at any stop and voucher can be exchanged directly with the driver on board, however the first stop is TourHub Waterloo
You will receive a ticket in exchange for your voucher, which you must keep until the expiry date/ tour.

Boat Trip: The boat is operated in partnership with Forth Boat Tours - wheelchair users are advised to check in advance of travel by visiting the Forth Boat Tours website or calling 0131 331 3030.

Important Instructions: We recommend our all passengers please try to board the bus at first stop if possible. During high season, specially on weekends, buses can be full, we advise you must wait for the next buses. No Refund possible in such conditions.

Edinburgh Bus Tours ticket sellers will reserve your time slot for the Edinburgh Castle entry. This cannot be arranged in advance of your visit.

The Royal Yacht Britannia is accessible from the Regal Tour route.

Palace of Holyroodhouse is accessible on all 3 routes.

The Palace of Holyroodhouse is closed on the following dates:

Palace is CLOSED TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY each week and no alternative is offered (open 7 days from 25 May - 8 Sep only)

In addition, Palace is closed 25 and 26 December 2025.

The Royal Yacht Britannia is open 7 days a week.

Information for Cruise Passengers:

Guests will be required to take alternative methods of transportation to reach the City Sightseeing stop number 1 St Andrew Square (Charges may apply to all transportation and is subject to availability). Guests are reminded to check on the location of the Edinburgh port before arrival.

Cruise guests arriving into Leith can collect a shuttle bus from the terminal to Waterloo Place, this is an approx. 6 minute walk from City Sightseeing Bus Stop 1.

Cruise guests arriving into South Queens ferry (Hounds Point) can collect a shuttle bus from the terminal to Charlotte Square, this is an approx. 10 minute walk from City Sightseeing Bus stop 2.

Cruise guests arriving into Newhaven will be able to pick up a local bus into central Edinburgh and will take approx. 30 minutes
